Hi, little bird. Most of the time I just write in the margins in my bible. These are the things that I write in it. I do keep a journal as well, but I suppose it is filled with much more personal thoughts. Mostly about what I learn during church sermons if something really resonates with me. Realizations & reflections on myself. Things that God speaks to me about. I don’t know.
That’s not silly. (I apologize for the very very late response) Mine looks like this:I doodle. I draw these little leaves on literally everything. It’s comforting to me for some reason, so a lot of the pages are filled with them. I write little poems. I write out my prayers because writing is so much easier than talking. I write certain verses or song lyrics that pertain to scripture. I spill out what’s on my heart when I’m studying a particular book or verse. I highlight. I spell things wrong. I smudge ink all over the place. I superglued sunflower petals on the inside of the front cover & then it got stuck on my hands & I glued my fingers to the cover & ripped off a piece. It’s a mess. But it’s my mess. Make your own mess, little bird.
Nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation.
